How to read this guide
From 2.1. Installation to 2.5. Gas3 Code Generator, this guide is organized as a tutorial: you will learn how to build a basic Flex/GDS/JBoss application with Ejb3 session bean services, Ejb3 entity bean persistent objects (that are externalized), and you will be finally able to use the GDS Gas3 code generator.
The main goal of this presentation is to show you that, by using GDS, you just have to:
- write your database model with Ejb3 and let Gas3 and Hibernate tools create AS3 beans and SQL scripts,
- write your services (Ejb3 session beans or other types),
- write your mxml application.
The remaining chapters of this guide will then introduce other type of services (Spring/Seam/Guice/Pojo), GDS Data push feature and security.
